Charlie is from Westchester county, New York and spends most of his time in Durham, North Carolina as a student at Duke University studying biology and Visual Media.
Charlie first started photography in November of 2017 when he was 13. He always loved wildlife and, after seeing a commercial on TV of a wildlife photographer in the Arctic, he begged his parents for a camera. When he first picked up a camera a few months later, he couldn’t put it down. Charlie would run around his neighborhood, taking photos of geese, robins, deer or anything else that looked cool.
Over time, he has been lucky enough to travel to some amazing places in search of wildlife and unique landscapes. He also was fortunate enough to have taken a gap year before starting college, which exposed him to many unique cultures. Charlie spent time in Ghana where he co-founded a youth basketball and character development program in Accra. Through this year, Charlie discovered a love for meeting new people and trying to capture the essence of unique cultures.
Along with wildlife and cultural photography, he recently began with sports photography. Charlie applied for an internship with the Duke Mens Basketball team and began working for them for the 2024-25 season.
Charlie is so excited to learn and grow in the world of photography and is grateful to have you follow along on my journey!
